6a.JPGFirstly, welcome to all our new subscribers to ‘Biz Growth Live’ – I’m delighted you have joined our community.

This week we have a new look to our weekly communication – I do hope that you find it helpful.  We are integrating our communication about our weekly ‘Biz Growth Live’ call with our news letter ‘Biz Growth Express’

Our goal remains the same – to provide you with strategies, inspiration and tips that you can adapt, adopt and apply to grow your business.  However we hope that this once a week communication will simplify the communication you receive from us so that we don’t overload your email box.

Do let me know if this works for you or if you have suggestions that would enhance our weekly communication and bring you added value.

Our goal after all is your success.

BIZ GROWTH LIVE TELECONFERENCE – MONDAY 31 JULY

Do you have great services and products, but find the sales conversation with potential clients a challenge?

Are potential clients interested in your services but don’t commit to working with you and say ‘let me think about it’?  But they never do get back to you.

Do you ever think one price but a lesser one comes out of your mouth?

In this week’s conversation, I will be joined by Ashley Latter, ‘the Selling Coach’, who will be addressing our questions about how to win more sales. You can find out more about Ashley here

During today’s call we’ll try to answer as many of your questions as time allows.

And as a Biz Growth Live subscriber you’re already registered for this call and you can submit questions before or during the call, here.

If it’s your first time joining us on a teleconference you can find guidance notes here.

Please note attendance is limited to 100 attendees and is on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the presentation. This pre-call announcement does not ensure your place.

To secure your spot, please plan to dial in promptly as we will start on time.

A Note From Krishna

Can you believe that it’s almost August?  Here in Ireland school uniforms are in the shops and selling like hot cakes.

We’ve to buy Elisha’s new uniform as she progresses into prep school from Montessori and have a long list of items to buy.  She also has a huge workbook that she has to complete in the following weeks.

I used to love September and going into a new class with my new pencils, clean copy book and shiny new shoes.  I know they talk about Spring being the time for new life – personally I found that new exciting stages of my life have always in been in September and the early fall.

So in our home, we are busy preparing for September, even though we haven’t even had our summer vacation yet (we’re off to Spain in a couple of week’s time).
Oneocean Ltd is also in the stage of transition:

- We’ve been creating new marketing materials to further enhance our brand for the business which are already reaping rewards with new clients as a result

- We have some exciting collaborations and joint ventures planned with some amazing live events for the fall

- We also have some new products and programmes in the pipeline – which I promise you will be the first to hear about as some of the ideas I’m implementing could provide you with ideas for how to grow your professional services firm.

So with just 31 days (or 744 hours) to September when business always gears up again what action could you take to further build your brand and create solutions, products and services that your clients will invest in?

Personal Reflections – What can a 6 year old teach us about marketing?

Thank you to all of you who wrote in with your good wishes for Elisha writing and publishing her first book.

For those of you who missed the email, Elisha is my eldest daughter, aged 6 years, who a couple of weeks ago decided to write a book to be sold at the street party in our community which was raising money for charity.

Well the ‘book launch’ was on Saturday and she sold 40 books – you can see a picture of her and also access a copy of the book here.

I also identified 7 things that we can learn and apply to marketing our professional services.

Do post a comment and let us know what you think.

Feature Article by guest expert, Ann Convery

Hi!  How are you?  What do you do?

I’ve just met you.  Yet in 8 seconds, I’ve secretly decided your success level, your education, your income, your status, and six other intangibles.

I’m typical of most people you meet in networking meetings, so I have about a nine-second attention span.  I don’t care what you do, really – I’m a nice person, but I don’t have time.  I’m too busy caring about all the things that are screaming for attention in my head – my kids, my overfilled diary, and my job.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to hook my interest and snap it to attention on you and your service.  You have 30 seconds.  How will you do it?

Most people sell their service, not their value.  This is a key mistake. However there is a little-known technique called dollarizing that you can employ.

What’s dollarizing?  Well it’s translating the actual dollar value of your product or service into a dollar amount – yet less than 5% of people who sell professional services actually use this strategy.

Let’s look at a couple of examples of how you might introduce your business:

“I teach clients how to leverage their assets to make more money.”

Or

“In four months, I taught my client how to refinance her home and purchase $750,000 of investment property yielding $2500 a month.”

The second sentence is dollarized and is far more powerful and impactful.

We need to learn to command the words that will attract more business effortlessly, any time we speak and this includes using the correct verbs, dollarizing your service, and connecting it to one of the three most powerful needs humans have (money, love, health), your message will start attracting so much referrals, clients and business.

Then you will be ready to conduct an entire marketing conversation anywhere, any time, any place, so tat you won’t feel like you are selling and your listeners won’t feel like they are being sold to.

So consider what your verbal business card should sound like, practice it and try it out at your next business or networking meeting

Earlier this year, you might recall the ‘Biz Growth Live’ call I hosted with my good friend and colleague Ann Convery where we discussed how important it is to be able to ‘Speak Your Business in 30 Seconds or Less’.

The feedback was amazing from those that attended and I‘m not surprised.

Ann is one of the most talented people I know in guiding us to focus our communication.  This week she launches her 4 week teleclass programme that I highly recommend and you can find out more about it here.

Next ‘Biz Growth Live’ Teleconference

Future Live Events

17-19 October – The Business Spa, County Wicklow, Ireland

I am delighted to announce the debut of a new live event specifically for women in business – ‘The Business Spa’.

If you are a successful female business leader (or know some one who is) but are finding it increasingly challenging to find the time and space to look after yourself – in fact you come at the bottom of your priority list after the family, managing your home and work – then ‘The Business Spa’ is for you.

I am co-hosting a two day business residential retreat between the 17 and 19 October with Helen Walsh, Ireland’s leading energy and fitness expert.

Numbers will be restricted as this is a premium event in an exclusive location and so that we can spend quality time with all our participants.

The web site will be live later this week, but in the meantime, you can find out more here.

If you would like to receive advance notice when the website goes live, just drop me an email.

I hope you enjoy this extended edition of ‘Biz Growth Express’.  Wishing you continued success until next week.

Best wishes,
Krishna De
