Build your brand power through delivery

How often do we start the race with great intentions, but then just don’t make it to the finish line?
The following real life case study has a lesson in it for all of us – in summary do we deliver through to the finish line?
I’ve been following a series of reports that have been distributed by a leading information product and empire building expert who has worked with some of the worlds leading internet marketeers.
This is on the run up to the launch of her new home study programme on how experts build empires.
The reports have been first class – in fact the best I have come across in this area and very professional in appearance.
I was really warming up to getting my credit card out of my wallet to purchase the how experts build empires programme, but three things happened in the last 24 hours which has made me think reconsider investing in this programme ……
- Firstly, I tried to connect with this information product and empire building expert as there is a client of mine who is building a business in the US who would be an ideal person for one of their clients to collaborate with. All I tried to do was connect two business owners – however the expert who teaches other how to build empires can not even be bothered to email me back – seems to me she has great on line delivery of information but does not pay any store in connecting to real people. Given that I’m in email contact with many of the worlds leading internet marketeers by email and voice, I know that being so big does not mean that they are unable to connect with others.
- Secondly, there was an email that gave the information about a call that was due to take place today about how experts build empires. However, the date and time of the call were incorrect in the email and web page. So I emailed politely – but got no acknowledgement or correction email.
- Thirdly, they made a promise on Friday last to send out a copy of their book proposal as part of the email autoresponder series on how experts build empires. Fantastic I thought - I will really be able to learn from this. But nothing arrived. The promise she had made, she failed to deliver. And for me what was worse was the fact that this expert who teaches other experts how to build empires has mislead her followers. When I contacted her virtual assistant today, I was informed that the book proposal on how experts build empires is only going to be available if you bought the $3000 how experts build empires home study programme. Now that certainly was not clear in the previous communication.
What a let down!
I probably would have invested in this programme about how experts build empires and I am sure that it would enhance my learning and capability and my ability to deliver additional profit streams to my own clients. Creating addiitonal revenue streams in our business is one of the strategies I deliver in my “Biz Growth Academy” programme and critical for all professional services firms who want to enjoy a more profitable and less stressful business.
But I am afraid this expert who teaches other experts how to build empires could find her own empire collapsing before it has even had it’s foundations laid of her new business due to her failure to deliver.
Once problem I can excuse – three times then the solution is to unsubscribe to this information product expert’s mailing list, leave the credit card in the wallet and blog about my reflections so that we can all learn from the experience of how you can quickly undo all the stregth of your brand!
