MII.gifA recent survey by the Marketing Institute Ireland has indicated that marketeers predict an increase in spend in online marketing in 2007.

The survey asked participants how they predicted they would invest in 2007 and overall the survey reported:

  • Online spend would increase by 37%
  • Print spend would increase by 27%
  • Sponsorship would increase by 26%
  • TV would increase by 24%
  • and Radio would increase by 23%.

This increase in investment online reinforces the recent report by the Internet Advertising Bureau that I reported on recently – you can access my comments here.

So what does this mean for us in professional services?

This again indicates that if the larger corporates represented in the MII are increasing their shift to investing marketing budgets online, they too are recognising the power of that media.

When you consider your marketing plan for 2007, what changes can you consider making to building your brand online from an upate of thr website, to pay per click advertising or blogging.

Being found on-line and building your brand on-line is becoming even more important in terms of building awareness and reaching your ideal clients.  So make sure you evaluate your brand online and develop your action plan - it’s easier than you think with our BrandStorm programme.
