Irish Blog AwardsFebruary is certainly the month for awards with the BAFTA’s, the GRAMMY’s, the BRIT Awards and the Irish Film and Television Awards.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have the power of the adjudicators of these awards, now you can as the public voting is now open for the Irish Blog Awards.

There are 21 categories in all and the standard of nominations is high so I am thrilled that this very same “Biz Growth News” that you are reading right now has been nominated in two different categories:

  • Best Blog
  • Best Business Blog

Voting lines close at 5pm Friday 16 February 2007 when the shortlisted 5 blogs in each category will be voted on by a panel of judges. Yes every vote counts just like for the Irish Election.

So if you believe that “Biz Growth News” is a worthy contender for the Irish Blog Awards short list for Best Blog and Best Business Blog, you can vote here – please only vote once no matter how much you love us as multiple nominations will be vetted.

You will need to enter your name and email address and then scroll down to the Best Blog and the Best Business Blog categories and select Biz Growth News from the drop-down menu.

Being recognised in the final short list would mean Biz Growth News would be recognised as one of the leading Irish business blogs and as I teach my clients about blogging this recognition I am sure would inspire them and other businesses to embrace the new media channel of blogging so that they too build buzz about their brand blogging about their business.

Thank you in advance should you decide to vote.

You can find a full list of all nominated blogs for all 21 categories in the Irish Blog Awards here.

I’ve enjoyed reviewing my fellow nominees – I’ve provided an overview of what they blog about so you can decide which ones to take a look at first dependent on what you are interested to learn about.
