Personal branding tip – what’s your passion?

One of the first steps I teach my clients when building your personal brand is to define what you are passionate about.
You might wonder why this is relevant to building your personal brand.
Well have you ever found yourself so engrossed in a task that the time just flies by? That you are so energised by what you are doing that it doesn’t feel like hard work?
Or perhaps you find yourself willingly giving more to the task and accessing discretionary energy that you did not realise you had?
Well if you find this is the case, you are likely to have tapped into your passion.
If we engage in activities in our work, we are likely to find our work far more enjoyable and that in turn will reflect in a positive way in our behaviour and attitude. Who knows you might even have more fun at work!
YOUR PERSONAL BRAND ACTION PLAN:
- Take time to reflect on what you are passionate about
- Review how you spend your time at work and if you are already integrating your passions into your daily activities at work
- If you find you have not been able to integrate your passions into your work, take time out to reflect how you might begin to do so. Brain storm who you need to engage and who could help you make these changes.
- If you want to nurture your personal brand but are looking for expert guidance, make sure that you register today for details of our forthcoming personal branding programme for business leaders which will be starting in June. Just send an email to solutions(at)oneoceangroup.com
