You might recall that I wrote some time ago about how to build buzz about your brand on You Tube.
Well I just had to share the following as an example.
My wonderful friend Wayne Kelly who taught me all I know about radio publicity, was instumental in my getting my own radio show and being able to train others on how to become a media magnet has just made his TV debut with his first video on You Tube.
Wayne provides a great and useable tip about how important the correct phone is to you being a success on the radio.
This is a great example of how if you are in professional services (Wayne is not only a radio show host, he teaches people about onair publicity), you can turn what you know into expert tips to share with people. Note how Wayne:
- uses props to make the segment come to life
- keeps the video short and delivers with pace so he holds your interest
- provides useable information that you can adopt, adapt and apply today
- adds his URL at the end of the video so people know where to go to find out more information.
Wayne is bring to life his personal brand and therefore his potential clients can get a feel for what he is like and if he is someone they would want to go to for training in radio skills – can you see how this could lead to him attracting more clients to his radio publicity training programme?
So here’s your assignment:
- Check out Wayne’s video and discover his onair publicity tip yourself and apply that the next time you are speaking to a radio show
- Consider how you could bring your brand to life with an online video that you could post at your site and at You Tube then put a plan in place to make it happen
- If you are like me – camera shy – then start with planning how you can express your expertise by becoming a great radio show guest.
Congratulations Wayne on your TV debut and demonstrating how to build buzz for your brand on You Tube. You might even want to create one tip a week Wayne and send it out as an onair publicity tip over 52 weeks using an video and audio postcard - I know I’d subscribe for that!
