With the increase in interest in social media in Ireland, The Irish Internet Association (IIA) today announces that they are establishing an IIA Social Media Working Group.

The IIA announces that the goal of the Social Media Working Group will be to support businesses in the development of strategies for engaging with social media from blogging to social networking, from community sites to podcasts.

The Social Media Working Group will consist of Irish social media expert practitioners and business leaders in a collaborative forum, developing white-papers explaining the different social media platforms and how organisations can use social media, highlighting best practice social media case-studies in the Irish marketplace and beyond.

The Social Media Working Group will also organise workshop events to facilitate sharing and discussing insights on the business uses of social media.

The IIA Social Media Working Group will include representatives from expert practitioners and business leaders from a variety of business sectors.

If you are a member of the IIA and would like to get involved in the Social Media Working Group you can email members(at)iia.ie
