LinkedIn Strategies Podcast

At 3Dcamp this last weekend, one of the subjects that was discussed was the area of social networking in a 3D world.
I’ve found my Generation Z daughters very comfortable networking online – yes they are only aged 7 years old and 6 years old!
They seem to be able to master the art of developing their personal persona on Disney Fairies, can tell me the benefits of why they need to become a paid member of Club Penguin (who said you can not make money out of social networking sites!), recite confidently the rules about social networking security i.e. what information they should not share on line and are teaching me shortcuts on my keyboard – they truly are children of the digital age.
Yet we as adults of Generation X, Baby-boomers or Matures are still reluctant to network and express our personal brand online as we have not yet experienced the business benefits.
As I recently wrote about the increasing importance of publishing your professional profile online at LinkedIn recently, I thought you might find it of assistance to listen to the Podcast Sisters Podcast that Anna and I recorded recently about using LinkedIn as a business tool, you will find access to the show here – you can either download it or play it online.
