Social Media Adoption By Ireland’s National Broadcaster

At the recent Organise Activate Influence conference facilitated by the European Commission Representation and the European Parliament Office in Ireland, (access archived video footage of the event here) I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Joe Zefran Head of Internet Development at RTE.ie about the adoption of social media by Ireland’s national broadcaster.
Listen to what Joe has to say about the opportunities RTE see for social media – though like may businesses today they have limited budgets and resources.
What opportunities do you see are available for RTE? What would you recommend that they engage in?
(Note: This is my first live video captured and edited and syndicated using my little camera – so all feedback welcome. I’m quite used to tools like Articulate, Camtasia and Jing which I use all the time, but the editing and encoding of video certainly takes some new skills. My admiration for online video producers is now huge!)
