TC50 and Tony Hsieh: Are you trying to change the world?

Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh is at the TechCrunch50 this week as an ‘expert’.
Here he is in a back stage interview.
He refers to the plans to join forces with Amazon.com – he mentions his letter to employees here.
It’s a great example of a CEO using a blog to keep stakeholders engaged – he openly posted his letter to staff on the Zappos blog which he and his executive team or managers can refer people to as he did in this interview.
His question though for start ups is ‘Are you trying to change the world?’
NB: See also my article about using social media in the case of takeovers and mergers here.
