Teencamp Ireland, entrepreneurs of tomorrow by Krishna De I was inspired! TeenCamp Ireland orchestrated by two teens, Alan Costello and Enda Crowley was a terrific event last weekend.

It is no mean feat to organise a conference. And to set your mind to and then pull off an event in Dublin deserves every recognition especially when the organisers are aged under 18.

They even managed to attract attention from the media – I’ve not seen the write ups as yet but the mainstream press were there to find out all about the vision for TeenCamp Ireland.

I was also struck by the raw talent in the room.

From young entrepreneurs who have set up and sold their own business when still at school to developers for Bebo applications and iPhone apps – there was no shortage of capability.

If you listen to the doom and gloom in the media or watch last weeks Primetime economy report, you would think there is no hope for us. In fact I know many people have started turning off the radio and TV and have stopped buying newspapers to keep themselves sane.

I only wish that the media had been around long enough to hear the inspiring stories I heard from the teenagers at the event. Truly they are tomorrows entrepreneurs and making success happen today.

I look forward to seeing how TeenCamp grows and develops in the years ahead. And if I were their mum – boy would I have been proud on Saturday.
