Are you starting the year with a renewed energy for achieving your goals?

Here are some suggestions adapted from the popular book by Brian Tracy entitles ‘Goals:How to get everything you want faster than you ever thought possible’ which I hope will help you in 2011 – what ever your goals aka New Year Resolutions may be.

Once you have established your goals and they are S.M.A.R.T take the following steps each day:

1. Write down your key goals that you want to achieve in the next 30 days – be that in a notebook that you are using on a daily basis or on for those of you who are never away from their smart phone, use one of the popular goal setting applications you can access. The idea is that you will always have a constant reminder of your goals

(Here are two iPhone applicatications that may be of assistance – the 43 Things iPhone app and the Pocket Coach iPhone app.)

2. Each night visualise and imagine what life would be like once you have achieved your goals so that you activate your superconscious mind

3. Take action every day of 2011 towards accomplishing at least one of your goals

4. When you identify an obstacle, identify how to remove the road block – list down everything that is holding you back and create a plan to get you back on track

5. Seek out the people who will be able to support you in achieving your goals be that a coach, mentor or a group of friends to support you and hold you accountable

6. And a bonus suggestion from me – take time at the end of each week to review your achievements and celebrate your successes and accomplishments over the last 7 days.
